Mocha in hand, Jack stepped into class with less than a couple minutes to spare. It was the middle of the semester and by now most people had found their desired seating positions in the auditorium. Jack’s was closer to, but not all the way in, the back of the room next to a group of friends that he’d been studying with since freshman year. Just as he sat down the professor started the lecture.
On this particular day class seemed to drag on, the hour long lecture felt more like a decade, knowing that just outside those auditorium doors was sunshine and freedom. This was Jack’s only class today and he was glad to be done with it on such a beautiful morning. He busily planned out the following hours, which included going to the gym, eating lunch and meeting up with a friend to study for a Psychology exam the following week.
Psychology was one of his favorite classes because he always had a lot of fun with Jane, his friend. She was a mutual friend of the guys at 5000 College Street. Her roommate, Brandi, was seeing Brock, who lived at the house, so Jack would frequently see the two at various parties. The roommates seemed to be inseparable, mostly because Jack only ever saw them together. Jack could never figure out why a girl like Brandi was with a guy like Brock, who didn’t really treat her in the way Jack thought girls should be treated.
Jack had agreed to meet Jane at her house after her afternoon class. This would give them a few hours to go over brain structures and components. Since it was Friday, neither of them wanted to stay in studying when there was a world of partying to be done. On the other hand, he wasn’t completely confident in his knowledge, so it was going to be really helpful to go over the information with someone else.
As class ended, Jack packed up his things and walked out with his friends. The others were chatting about data mining, or something. Jack wasn’t really paying attention during lecture, so his input was limited to nodding in agreement and trying to insert what little information he had gleaned between day dreams and day planning. Needless to say, he was happy to be out and free for the weekend.
so when is this "story" going to continue...?
